When people first set up AI, they tend to do the same thing: open it up, stare at the empty box, and wonder what on earth to ask. Or they try to overhaul their whole business in one afternoon, get overwhelmed, and quietly close the tab. Neither works. The people who get real value from AI are almost always the ones who started small.
So here's my advice. Think about the one job in your week that you find dull, repetitive and just a bit draining. Replying to the same enquiry for the tenth time. Writing up notes after a meeting. Thinking of what to post on social media. That's your starting point. It's low risk, you already know what a good result looks like, and you'll notice straight away if it saves you time.
Once you've done that one task a few times and it feels easy, pick the next one. In a month you'll have three or four jobs that used to eat your evenings and now take minutes. That's how a nervous beginner becomes someone who uses AI without thinking about it. One boring task at a time.
